Family History
It’s scientifically proven and spiritually validated that every one on this earth originally came
from Africa, (if you trace back far enough in our DNA). That is what my father believes. But the
furthest back we could track of my ancestors came from France. We do not have a family tree
so we really don’t know what ancestor is who.
Life was simple in the old country, no iPods, cell phones or cable TV’s. They ate from the
ground that they toiled. They worked hard from dusked till dawn. They lived by the sweat of
their brow. If they didn’t work, they didn’t eat. The money was low so they earned as much as
they could by working the land. They walked to school because they had one mule named
Betsy that was always too busy to pull the wagon to school.
Our ancestors came to America because there land was being taken over by the leader
at the time. The expense were going up and up, food was going scarce and our great
great great great grandmother lost a child to starvation. Pretty soon they were not able to
care or pay for there home. At one point they were living on the streets of Paris, but they
ended up making enough money to rent a one bedroom apartment next to a farmhouse. They
had there children taken out of school and put them to work so they could earn money for the
knew life that they were about to start in America. It took them a few years to save
enough money to have one week of food in America. Our great great great great grandmother
and her seven children jumped onto a cargo ship (along with other families) and sailed to
America. America, America free at last.
We came in threw New York but it was hard to find free land sense it was over
populated. So they ended up moving to the west towards the Wisconsin area! We found land
and made it through the hard times. The children were put back in school and learned perfect
English. The parents started to make good money to support the family!
