3 Comparision Paragraphs

Primarily, the theme, bravery, is visible in the two books, “That Was Then, This Is Now”, and “The Curious Incident of The Dog in the Night-time”. Christopher had the bravery to leave his dad to go find his mom and he had done things that were new to him that he never did before. Christopher was brave because he had kept calm after facing the truth about his mom. In the book (The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time), Christopher had to be mature and brave to be able to complete his journey to London to find his mom. In the end, Christopher succeeds on finding his mom and slowly starts to get over the fact that his father lied to him. Bryon had faced the death of a loved one and changed his attitude to become a better person. Bryon was brave because he had the courage to turn Mark in for possession of drugs even though Mark was like a brother to him. However, during the time when Bryon and Mark were about to get beat up, it was Mark who stood up to the two men. In the end, Bryon turned Mark in and was brave enough to face Mark. This theme is very important throughout the books because it’s what led both of the main characters to do what they did to succeed their goals. Therefore, bravery is a main theme in both of the books because both of the main characters face their fears

Subsequently, the two main characters, Bryon and Christopher are alike because they both have family troubles. Bryon lives with his mom without a dad and has an adopted brother named Mark. Christopher lives with his dad and didn’t know his mother was alive until he was 15. Bryon has family problems because his mom is in the hospital while Mark is selling drugs without Bryon knowing about it. Bryon’s mom eventually comes out of the hospital and helps to support the family but they still don’t know about how Mark is getting all the money he brought in. In the ending, Bryon finds out about Mark’s drugs...
