God commanded Adam and Eve not to eat of the fruit from one particular tree. The serpent came and deceived Eve into going against what God had told her and to eat the fruit. Eve ate the fruit and then took it to Adam and convinced him to eat it was well. When Adam and Eve heard God coming they hid from Him, but God knew what had happened. He punished Adam and Eve as well as the serpent.
The first thing that I found interesting was that Adam and Eve had absolutely no self-control. God had specifically told them not to eat the fruit from that tree, but they didn’t listen. The serpent didn’t even tempt Eve that much and she still took it. No matter what anyone else said she should have known that God dint want her to eat from that tree so she shouldn’t do it.
The other thing I found interesting was that Adam and Eve refused to take any blame for what happened. When God questioned them about what had happened and he asked Adam if he ate from the Adam avoided the question. Instead of owning up to it he blamed in on Eve. He said that she had given it to him. Then when God asked Eve about it she quickly blamed the serpent saying that it had tricked her into thinking it was ok. They both blamed others and did not take responsibility for their actions.
