The content of the speech was to take over ones fear in the public speaking. The speaker is from a Toast master company. The main purpose of his speech was to introduce toast master company to the audience and how the speaker is seeking to persuade his audience with persuasive devices. The speaker dressed up in formal clothing. This gives a speaker more confidence in delivering a speech. Toastmaster Company is helping people in becoming more competent and comfortable in front of the audience. Our guest speaker was talking about the main points of giving a speech. Mr. Vincent has been working for toast master for 30 years. Toastmasters help students in writing and delivering their speeches.
The speech was 45 minutes long and the speaker was Vincent D George. In his speech he describes about how to control your fear during delivering a speech. He used four different kinds of stories in his speech. One story was about the butterflies in his stomach while he was delivering a speech in his class. This story is the attention grabber in his speech. The speaker highlighted some key points about how to grab an audience attention. One should start their speech with Ladies and Gentlemen and make an eye contact with the audience. The speaker’s use of language was clear. The speaker kept his posture erect which wasn’t good for the speech so he should have move during the speech. He has used the exercise contained of different questions which was a good example of gaining audience attention. In his exercise he assigned some gestures to the audience in order to analyze his audience.
