April 2011 – May 2011, Scott Wilkie Primary School
My time working for Scott Wilkie Primary School gave me a real insight into working in a school. During my time there albeit short I swiftly learned that there is a requirement of a certain quality of responsibility that must be provided by a teaching assistant. I saw the amount of work needed when taking care of infants and the amount of responsibility thrown upon you. During my time there I had been fortunate to accompany them on an excursion to Central London where coincidentally the Queen had been visiting. I had been given the responsibility for watching 6 children, which was a wonderful opportunity as I learnt beforehand the struggle of looking after a few kids let alone an entire class.
