I believe that two of the problems that Barack Obama will have in Afghanistan will be that they are going to need more soldiers in Afghanistan, and that they will have problems with Pakistan too since they are allied with the Taliban.
I don’t believe we have been paying attention to Afghanistan as needed, because we do not have as many soldiers in there as we do have in Iraq. And we haven’t been giving them as many resources as needed. One of the reasons might be because our economy today is not doing well and we are in a war with Iraq too, this is what makes it difficult to take care of both. But Afghanistan is a much more difficult territory than Iraq, and since they have many mountains it is difficult for the soldiers to see who they are shooting to. And because we do not have enough ground troops, the war will go by in slow motion. Also the Taliban are growing in strength and numbers, since they control much of the narcotics they have got a lot more money and if we do not get more troops in Afghanistan there are chances we could loose. The solution to the problem would be for Obama to ask allied countries to provide the U.S with more forces to go into Afghanistan. He should also pay more attention to the Taliban movement that has supported Osama bin Laden than to try to free Iraq from the genocidal grasp of Saddam Hussein.
The second problem is that Pakistan has allied with the Taliban. The main reason is that they believe that U.S is collaborating to weaken Pakistan and they
are afraid that Afghanistan will become Indian Territory which would be a great loss for them. ISI which is the Pakistan spy agency used to be friends with the
U.S after the 9/11 attack they handed some Al Qaeda leaders but now aren’t sure who’s going to win in Afghanistan and are allied with the Taliban. Pakistani president paid the Taliban’s leader half a million dollars to lay down arms. I believe that it isn’t good that...
