Yet the gap between the rich and the poor is one of the biggest in the world. That is why
Brazil is viewed as a paradox: an earthly paradise (beautiful beaches, the rainforest versus) is a land of social contradictions; economic growth versus huge class inequalities; sexual freedom versus sexual persecution in the household and workplace.
Population
The current population of the Brazil is distinguished by colorful ethnic abundance. This is the result of historical circumstances such as: the Portuguese colonization of the territory, wide import of black slaves to work on plantations, international migration from European countries, Japan and China, and The mixing of these populations with Indians. These aspects are formed the modern Brazilian population. The official language of the country is Portuguese, moreover Brazilian Portuguese does not have any dialects.
Brazil is not a secular country and most of the people have some religious affiliation. 90% of the population belongs to the Roman Catholic Church, despite of this fact a great number of people supports a variety of worship or shared Native American animism.
Diverse of ethnic groups shaped the culture. National character of this country can be characterized by four features such as sentimentality , poetry , sensitivity and emotionality. These people are very friendly, carefree and open. By the way this nation is quite young Not only in history but also in the age indicator. There is a very high birth rate, but the average life expectancy reaches 65 years of age. Dual youth influences the careless behavior of Brazilians and their willingness to take everything from their life.
