Introduction:

Cambodia is one of the beautiful countries in Southeast Asia and it is an exotic kingdom. In 1920, Cambodia was once known as “Pearl of Asia”. It has rich culture and the Fine Art is well known, especially Angkor Wat is one great masterpiece of world architecture. It is one of the largest Temple in the world, which was built over three centuries-from the 9th century to the 12th century. Cambodia culture and the religion momentums have left the world to marvel at. It is a unique country with its geography, history and culture have become one of the main tourist destinations in the world.
Geography:
Cambodia is also known as Kampuchea and the official language is Khmer or Cambodian. There are four major cities and 21 provinces in the country. Phnom Penh is the capital city of Cambodia. It became the permanent seat of government and the Royal Palace in 1866. The whole city is filled with traditional Khmer and French’s architecture. Phnom Penh is a home to more than one million Cambodia’s population. It is the most popular and the busiest city in the country and also it is the hub of commercial, political and cultural. Cambodia is located in Southeastern Asia, bordering the Gulf of Thailand, between Vietnam, Thailand, and Laos. Total area 181,040 square kilometers, it is about size of Missouri. Land borders are a total of 2,572 kilometers and Coastline is about 443 kilometers. Cambodia shares 1,228-kilometer border with Vietnam on east and southeast, 803-kilometer border with Thailand on north and west, 541-kilometer border with Laos on northeast. Feature geography of Cambodia is the lacustrine plain form by the Tonle Sap Lake (Great Lake). It is also known the largest lake in Southeast Asia and it is one of the riches resources for freshwater fish in the world, which is a natural storage basin of the Mekong River.
