Overview of Classroom Management Plan
The following classroom management plan details every aspect of my philosophy, rules and expectations for my second grade class. This plan will be used as a guide throughout my career of teaching. It will help me to plan daily lessons, make decisions, and work with students. I believe by giving each student individual respect and create a safe environment, all student’s will succeed. I also believe that working with the student individually will help me to understand each student and by doing this it will help me to guide them a little more so that they may be able to achieve. I plan to use my classroom management plan so I can be a successful teacher and a successful managed classroom.
Space and Resource Management
The classroom setting will be arranged for the student’s to be able to social interact and to provide an organized and efficient learning environment. The following items will be used in the classroom:
Student Desk- desk will be grouped for space purposes and for the kids to be able to interact with one another.
Small Group Area- groups will meet at designated times at the table.
Teacher’s Desk/File and Equipment- Teacher’s desk will be located in the back right corner of the classroom. File and equipment will be kept near the desk.
Bookcases- will be located in the designated library area. The library area will be set up with comfortable sitting for student’s to relax and read. Instructional material will also be stored on the bookcases.
Centers- the student’s desk will be used for centers. All desks will be cleared and student’s will rotate from one center to another.
Work Areas- children will work at their desks, on the carpet, at a designated table.
Bulletin Boards/Walls- Bulletin boards like the weather chart, calendar, student duties, word wall, student’s work and current topic of study will located around the classroom.
Textbook/Classroom Material- will be kept in the classroom in a storage...
