Communication and Collaboration Strategy

Being a part of a learning team or group can sometimes be very beneficial but will also require working with different learning styles and personality types. Everyone will not always come together which will more than likely cause conflict among the team. The team has to be aware that everyone brings a different personality and learning style to the group. Acknowledging this will insure a better online working environment and lead to the team’s success. Based on my personal assessment my learning styles are: interpersonal, verbal linguistic and bodily kinesthetic. My personality types are: organizer, adventurer and giver. These characteristics allow me to have a better understanding of my surroundings and be more knowledgeable of people who are different from me.

DIFFERENT LEARNING STYLES
Learning styles help to separate strengths from weaknesses. Different characteristics from these learning techniques can be helpful to everyone. The first learning style is interpersonal. An interpersonal person is able to listen to other peoples opinions and view them from another perspective. They are great problem solvers and interact with others well. People are at ease to discuss conflict with an interpersonal person because they are good at understanding and looking at the situation from both sides. They enjoy talking with people and helping them, which makes them feel comfortable. Having this style helps not only to understand ones self but others as well. The next learning style is verbal linguistic. Verbal people love reading and discussing topics that interest them. When expressing themselves clearly they have the ability to be a better negotiator whether it’s in person, on the phone or in writing and they can persuade someone of their point of view.
