Comparison and Contrast of a Mac and PC
The Macintosh and Personal Computer have been in a long time dispute about their popularity, even though they are similar in lots of ways. They have several differences between them as well. The differences between these two devices are significant to the loyal followers, but to consumers who just want a devise that will compute what they need computed they are rather similar.
Comparing the Mac to the PC with its similarities is pretty easy. Essentially both systems do the same thing: such as both access Internet, are used for personal and business use. Neither of the systems depends on each other to operate. They both are customizable in the sense that you can pick and choose the features that you would like for the computer. They both products interface with a mouse and keyboard (“Mac vs. PC” n.d)
The Macs design is modern and sleek, while the PC is standard and unoriginal. Macs thrive on their creativity. The design for all of their products, are designed to look attractive. To pick a few products for an example: the iMac, iPod and iPad. The appeal that Mac has is, it is compact and easily portable. No unnecessary space hogging. Even though these products are usually small and light in weight, they have the top of the line equipment.
Looking at the design of the PC, the product is rather large and bulky. There are a few exceptions, such as the smaller laptops. Even with the smaller sized laptops, they can also weigh more than largest MacBook Pro. Personal Computers like the desktops have such large boxes that connect to the monitor. This box and monitor take up a lot of unnecessary space. In my opinion the PC lacks creativity.
