Argument against internet censorship- Body
Internet censorship will hurt one of the basic human right of freedom of speech. It will give power to a few people in the government which can decide for the rest of the population what is right to watch and what is false. If we give such a power to the wrong hand it can cause serious damage for anybody who hold a different view point from those in the higher places and will overlooked the basic principal of democracy that give the power to the people and not to a few that are not influence in their decision from the rest of the community rather from their own thoughts and view point. We should give the power to choose what is right or wrong back to the people. Another reason that internet censorship can cause damage rather from improvement is the fact that government supervision will deter people from criticize action taking by the government. Allowing few people in the government to censorship the internet by their own view point and thoughts will cause other citizens that may hold a different view from those in charge to not take action, not express their view and thoughts because of fear that by presenting a different thought they will be punished and it will only cause them damage and suffering. The freedom to express views and comments about the government is a basic part of a normal democracy, it should not be limited by anybody in power, therefore internet censorship will only lead to more control of the people by the government and will limited their freedom to express their own thoughts and feelings about the government. We should avoid stepping into this trap of dictatorship and should encourage people not to be afraid to express their thoughts.
