Customs And Courtesies
Customs and courtesies are very important in all aspects, you should always have it no matter what. In the Marine Corps its ten times more important for many reasons like you don't wanna get in trouble, the respect, tradition and just being plain kind to your fellow brothers and sisters in arms. Customs and courtesies are things that have came from tradition like the proper greeting and standing at parade rest, or responding to a question with rank thats all customs and courtesies and all comes from tradition our brothers and sisters in arms since the marine corps was created has had the ways of showing respect to the people the have been in for along time and officers, Which why we should always do it its not just a thing the marine corps is making us do its respect and tradition. My first reason was you don't wanna get in trouble and i know this isn't the most important reason but still if you simply give the proper greeting of the day you won't have to worry about getting in trouble or having someone yell at you so my number one reason is staying out of trouble if you just do the simple stuff like saluting and proper greeting and using rank when answering a question to someone thats above you wont have to deal with the bullshit. My second reason was this as tied down to respect the reason why you say yes sir or ma'am or yes corporal or sergeant is because they one have been in a bit longer than...
