Decision-Making Process Paper
There are many decisions in my life that I have made which could be described as the questions is outlined, but I will focus on the purchase of my home. I basically used most of the actual stages of the decision making process.
First I identified that I wanted to own a new home, and then began the process of looking for one that was in the price range of my salary. Once my price range was determined, I wanted to get the best possible home for what I could afford which involved generating alternatives to the choice of location and property for the value. Once I evaluated the alternatives, I chose to move further away from my office to gain more home and property for the same value. After making this decision, then we began to look at the homes and communities with the schools we wanted to live in before making our final choice. Once we made our final choice, we implemented our decision and made and offer on the home. Once the offer was accepted, we closed on the home and made the purchase.
Once we purchased the new home, we did evaluate our decision which of course involved what could be considered an overwhelming feeling. The purchase of a home is a huge decision for most anyone and we were no different so we had second thoughts, but knew we made the correct decision. The home is all we ever wanted, the schools were very well rated, and we had a lot of room to grow while it also fit into our budget.
