Team B Weekly Reflection

This week's the learning objectives was about assessing how organizational size and structure influence control. Analyzing the effects of culture within an organization and evaluating how managers develop and maximize power and politics.
The last week of class was a great learning experience and we as a team again discussed the many topics we felt comfortable with and the topics we struggled with. Team B agreed that we have had interesting final week.
All team members discussed that they were very interested in learning about control being evaluated in relation to the size and structure of any organization. One team member was able to compare the control in relation to the size and structure of bigger organizations. Our learning session made the team members realize how different it is working for a smaller company. Some team members agreed that reading about organizational culture and organizational behavior gave a deeper understanding on what is culture and how employees learn culture.  
Another team member discussed that the course was extremely informative and learning about the different leadership style and how it relates to personal leadership style was enjoyable. On completion of the assessment the team member learnt about the democratic leadership style. The team member gained valuable knowledge that participative leadership values the input of team members and peers, but the responsibility of making the final decision rests with the participative leader. Participative leadership boosts employee morale because employees make contributions to the decision-making process. It causes them to feel as if their opinions matter. Team B learnt that when a company needs to make changes within the organization, the participative leadership style helps employees accept changes easily because they play a role in the process.
