Introduction
This paper will discuss influences of two models of processes of the criminal procedure policy within the criminal justice system which are; due process and crime control. A comparison and contrast of each these two processes of the criminal justice system will be introduced and discussed.

The Due Process Model
The due process in itself is a model dedicated to protect the public’s rights, especially of those who are under scrutiny in regard to the criminal justice system within the courts. Due process allows a formula created by the criminal justice system within the rights of the U.S. Constitution to adhere to a set of rules to guide and protect within the court. The deliberations of the rights are equated as such, so the innocent are protected and the guilty obtain a fair trial and punishment that is credible under the law.
The due process model is opposite of the criminal procedure model. Time walks forth in the due process model, while the criminal procedure model fails to speed up any processes that allow a quick solution within the court system.

The Crime Control Model
Within the crime control model arrest are made, charges pending, and the courts deliberate a fair and speedy trial. Procedure is one of the facets of this criminal justice model, as it impedes quick and easy solutions of the matters at hand within the criminal courts.
It is quite opposite of the due process model. Procedures are created within this model to quickly solve the issues as the party arrested is considered guilty until proven innocent.
