Dear Nicole,
I saw different films starring you, such as Australia, The Hours, Eyes Wide Shut and many other films. But most of all I was astonished by your performance in musical film Moulin Rouge! It was absolutely magical and I decided I should tell you everything I think about your talent.
Your acting in Moulin rouge is truly spectacular, really strong and powerful. I think Satine is an extremely difficult part because everybody knows she is a cabaret actress and courtesan, and they treat her without any respect. But you portrayed him in such a way, and with such passion, that I think we began to understand her confused feelings. The other members of the cast are also very good. Ewan McGregor was very convincing as Christian, but you were absolutely brilliant.
I hope you don’t mind me writing to you I expect you get loads of fan letters. I was sure you had a fan club, because you’re a very famous actress. It’s great, because it’s quite a lot of information about you and mainly about your work. I am twenty and my future career by no means connected with theatre and cinema, but I like dancing very much and I took part in dramatic performances when I was at school.
I cannot help telling you that you are very beautiful and in Moulin Rouge! you were more beautiful than ever before. I know that while filming Moulin Rouge you injured your ribs. It’s quite hard for me to realize how it is to sacrifice your health to make a good film. You’re a real professional and it makes me respect you even more.
Good luck in your future career.
