Liz and her two best friend’s Danielle, and Karina were driving down Highway 58. Alone in the middle of the night with no cars in sight. It was about 2:30 am when Karina decided to tell a creepy ghost story she knew about the highway. The story was about an old man that was taken from Las Vegas; the man’s name was Jacob Luckster who was known in the state of Nevada as Old Man Jacob. He was a generous lucky man, always donating his big wins to the charity at an orphanage. He had just hit the jackpot and on his way home and he was followed by four teenage thugs who robbed him. Old Man Jacob was beaten and driven down the highway where a cabin had once stood. The four men tied Jacob up, but he was already half dead on a chair then the four teenagers decided to burn him alive in a small cabin. The teenagers drove off with Jacob’s money, he screamed and screamed; and no one answered. At about 3 am, Old Man Jacob died and since then any car left alone on the highway was cursed by Old Man Jacob.
The story says he curses because no one was there to save him. Liz and Danielle were so scared of the story, they both pleaded for her to stop. While telling her story, an unbelievable thunderstorm had begun crashing down on them, lightning flashing, thunder roaring, the sky was dark and the girls panicked. Liz attempted to slow down the car, but her attempt had failed when the car hydroplaned. The girls screamed as the car slid off the road. The car crashed into a large boulder. Danielle’s head slammed through the headboard, she was hurting in her neck and her back. The girls were so pale and shaking, they couldn’t believe their eyes, they told each other to stay calm.
Minutes later Danielle was in such pain and knew help was nowhere in sight as the weather grew colder and colder. Liz grabbed a blanket and softly wrapped it around Danielle.
