TIME OUT: Are You A Good Listener?

My summary: I think I am a good listener but my attention span is short I tend to get distracted very easily.
Listening Skills Test
Result: When you're interacting with others and want to add a word in edgewise or simply want to move the conversation along, you do your best to sit quietly and wait. It can be a bit of a challenge occasionally, but you are usually fairly tolerant. This is an important trait to practice, because you may be less likely to interrupt others or otherwise disrupt the flow of a conversation if you make it a point to be patient.
I do try very hard to listen carefully to others and give them my undivided attention. I tend to get very anxious though when I disagree with what is being said and I feel like I have to interrupt or I will forget waht I wanted to say.
Interpersonal Communication Skills Test
Result: Your results indicate that you are fairly adept at interpreting other people’s words and actions and seeing things from their perspective - although the rare misunderstanding may occur. Overall however, you seem to realize that empathy is an essential part of good interpersonal skills and therefore, will do your best to place yourself in other people’s shoes in order to better understand them. For the most part, you can sense what others are thinking and will likely adjust your behavior accordingly if a person you’re conversing with seems confused or perhaps uncomfortable. There may be the occasional time when you pay more attention to the message you’re sending rather than how it’s received. With some time and experience, you’ll likely be able to improve your insight even more.
