George W Bush thought there were weapons of mass destruction in iraq.he was wrong.mr bush has returned to india,and proposed a nuclear deal that will help both indian and american people.mr bush wants to cut a deal that will advance nuclear capabilities with potentials for us corporations.the deal will bring some of indias nuclear reactors under international safeguard.in exchange for robust nuclear technology sharing,mr bush deal will place india nuclear facilities under international safeguard.that will leave eight of india nuclear facilities without safeguard.the deal is being sold to congressand american people on the basis of strengthing relationships with worlds largest democracy,while the fact ttkhat it undermines the non proliferation regimeis being swept under the carpet.the deal withindia also undermines us credibility to prevent iran from developing nuclear weapons.the proposed india-us deal pursues a big hole in ship of non proliferation.the current predicament of us-india deal further undermines the non proliferation treaty would not exist if us follows its own principles that no person or country understands the law.to acheive this globally,we need a standard for controlling all nuclear weapons.this accrd promises lifetime fuel for india civilian nuclear reactors for generation of electricity and will help meeting future demand in electric energy.though the nuclear deal has been almost forgotten due to global meltdown the congress can use it as a plan to secure to secure votes in the election.the fact that our former presidentdr.a.p.j abdul kalamhas supported the nuclear treaty has ensured a windfall to congress party.
