There are many different function of the kidney. One of the purposes of the kidney are to rid the body of waste. Our kidneys work together as a filtration device to guarantee that the waste products and other products in our body are excreted and stay out of the blood flow. If a problem occurs the kidneys become ill and can no longer do there job properly. Kidney disease occurs over time so the dying of the kidneys normally is a longer process. It forces the kidneys to shut down over time and while doing so the kidneys begin to release toxins into the body. Some of these reasons include diabetes and anemia.
Kidneys normally come in pairs , although sometimes you can live with just one they have the resemblance of a kidney bean and 5 inches long and 3 inches wide. They are located in the lower back near the twelfth rib. The kidneys sit with fat to protect it from injury. There are many jobs that the kidney does one of them is getting rid of wastes and making urine. When your blood delivers nutrients to your body, chemical reactions occur and some is stuff that the body does not need. Blood is carried into the kidneys by the renal artery. About 400 gallons of recycled blood are pumped through them everyday. The waste is then colleted out of the blood by tiny filters, or nephrons, inside the kidneys it is very dangerous to not take care of your kidneys factors that can risk them are drinking, smoking drugs, unbalanced diet.
If we were to look at the cases through the country over time one hundred thousand of the hospitals patients have kidney failure issues do to the problems listed above. Once a patients has found out they have obtained kidney disease the patient goes through a process which is known as dialysis. Dialysis is a process which replaces and builds on filtration parts of the kidney that was previously damaged.
