Tea
Every Saturday morning my friends and I meet up at iHop, to catch up on each others lifestyle or important events. It is normally just and my two friends Kendra, Ikeia, and I but this Saturday I had to bring my little brother because my parents were out of town. It was Friday evening and I had not let either of them know that my brother had to tag along. I sent them both a message asking them was that okay with them or did they wish to reschedule, and they both said him coming was no problem. Even though they were fine with him coming; I was not because my brother is aggravating at times and very nosey.
Saturday morning was finally here I woke my brother up and told him to get dressed to eat breakfast, and of course he was being a pest already. It took him almost an hour to get dressed and we were supposed to be there for 10, and it was 10:30. Luckily my friends had gotten there in time to save us a table. We normally hold off on ordering our drinks and food so we could talk about how our week went, but this time things were different. My friends were not comfortable yet around my brother so we changed it up a bit. When the server came she asked for our drinks; I ordered a sprite Darian and Ikeia ordered Lemonade and my brother ordered tea. Five minutes later the server came back with all of our drinks except for my brother’s. She told him they had to brew some tea and it would be about 15 minutes. Darian replied,” She do not have any tea, but I got that tea.”


My brother told Darian to give him some of her tea. Ikeia and I bust out laughing because what Darian was talking about was not actual tea; that was the term we used when we had some important news to tell each other. My brother felt a little offended because we laughed at him, but I just explained to him how we used the term tea and he laughed about it also.
