My last vacation was in the Summer of 2007. My friends from university and I, visited the Crimea...... We ha good living conditions on the coast of The Black Sea. We were also learning the history of Sebastopol, a great city of Russian history. That journey was wonderful!
The last place where I was on vacation was Argentina. I went there with two of my best friends. First we arrived in Mendoza, where we stayed for only one day. Our next destination was Buenos Aires, the capital city of Argentina. But we didn't want to get there by bus, because we were trying to save some money for our outgoings. So, we went to Buenos Aires by hitchhiking. There were very nice people who willingly offered to take us to Buenos Aires. Once we got there we visited some tipycal places such as La Boca Neighborhood. It is a very good place to be visited. Their houses are painted with flashy colours such as red, yellow, blue, green and orange just to name a few.
Snow days... Winter break... End of the Semester... Whatever you call it, it's vacation time for most of us. I actually dreamed this little list up more than a year and a half ago, and given it's the vacation time of year, it seemed like time to do something with it. I hesitated to write the list at all, and it's taken me all these months to get up the nerve to finish it. After all, I am supporting a bit of a stereotype. Interview any random sample, and what will they tell you about us writing teachers: we always have a red pen somewhere, we're obsessed about grammar errors, and we always assign that "What I Did On My Vacation" essay.
But I thought about it, and I decided that there were situations where this assignment could be a lot of fun. Let's say you're getting a batch of students direct from a teacher who really did do that "What I Did On My Vacation" essay. You make the announcement — then twist things a bit and let them play.
