ACKNOWLEGDEMENT
I, Alicia Prasana D/O Santhosam would like to extend my sincerest appreciation to Prof. Dr. Mashhor Mansor and his team of educators for their invaluable guidance throughout my journey participating in this ecology course in University of Science Malaysia. They truly brought out my passion for these gentle giants which I didn’t even know I had. I have come to a higher understanding and realization of how precious these apes are to the Earth and how their absence can really affect our ecosystem negatively. I have vowed myself to never again look down on this kind of matter, for all the critically endangered species of Malaysia as most of them are highly endemic to our land. I will also promise to do my level best and to lend a helping hand whenever and wherever possible in order to make Malaysia a better place for our wild friends. I would like to again thank Prof. Dr. Mashhor Mansor and everyone who has either helped me directly or indirectly in completing this mini thesis. I hope what I have found in my thesis can somehow help in the further study and understanding of Orang-utans here in Malaysia.
