Description Essay 1 My Happy Place After school, It was a tradition to ask my mom if she let me go to my favorite park. She would always say, Yes, but be back before dark, honey. Leaving my Power Rangers backpack like thunder in the living room, and running fast to my favorite place in the world was my every day routine. The smell of pine, cool winter air, and tasty treats made me feel free in this big world. Having an afternoon to myself to run and play in a big open field, eat delicious snacks at the snack bar, and gaze upon the beautiful pond, is what I remember most about my days at Buena Vista Park. The field was so green, spectacular and of course, big that it felt almost like a dream. The air always smelled so fresh. Giant grasshoppers would leap across the field like race horses. The taste of fresh dew from the rain that would occasionally sprinkle down was one of my favorite smells. Counting the large number of lady bugs which fled through the blades of grass was marvelous. In fact, there would be hundreds of different species of bugs that people generally would lose count of them all. It seemed as if the field went on and on forever because of its fantastic size. My friends and I will would never run out of entertainment in that seemingly empty land. The snack bar was at the center of the park. Crowds of people would stand in line to enjoy the savory hotdogs, juicy cheese burgers, and mouth-watering cotton candy. Being next to the snack bar made me remember of a county fair. The salty and sweet aroma filled the entire park. My favorite thing to eat there was the chocolate chip, and peanut butter cookies. They were always fresh and warm, just like the cookies that my best friends mom would make for me. My taste buds would bounce of my tongue after just one bite. The cotton candy is so savory and sweet. Finally, the pond is directly behind the snack bar, and to the east of the big open field. It was so clean and blue...
