Introduction

Exodus tells the most important historical event in Israel’s past. It will show the mercy of God, Moses faith, and the Israelites belief in God.

Creation of a Nation
Abraham the Israelite forefather was the reason for them being in Egypt. Abraham believed in God and in return God promised to make Abraham descendants into a great nation. After the death of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, there was Joseph. Joseph was sold to a band of Ishmaelites who took him to Egypt as a slave. Years later Joseph saved all of Egypt and his family from starvation and later brought the rest of his family from Israel to Egypt. Joseph was known as savior to people. During Joseph time in Egypt he protected his family until his death.
After Joseph death the people of Egypt were turn into slavery by Pharaoh. Pharaoh thought the Jews were growing too large which was bad against them in case of a war, Pharaoh would be out numbered (Exodus: 8, 9). Pharaoh had everyone to join in to build the city of Pithom and Rames. The Isrealite were loyal to Pharaoh by being the only people building the city as time pasted by. But Pharaoh took advantage of that and demanded labor of them and they became slaves of his. The Israelite had to...
