Importance of Patient Care and Respecting Others Patient care has always been a very important philosophy in dealing with our customers because it helps you to get to know them and also help treat any problems or issues that they are experiencing. It is also important to have respect for others, which includes patients, co-workers, as well as yourself because it brings good morale to everyone around you. It is important to give great patient care because it tells the patient that you are doing your best to give them the best treatment possible and also to gain the trust of the patient. Another very important aspect of patient care is to make sure that whenever the patient has a problem or concern that they can come to you for help with the issue that they are having. What I have come to realize is that in a health care facility such as Moncrief, the patients are the most important people here because without them, we would be without jobs, so it is our job that the patients are satisfied with the care that we provide. One example of this is that you have been helping to treat a patient with a medical condition that they have had for a while or just recently received and patient sees that you have some care to what they are going through. The patient sees that you are doing your best to provide the best quality of care possible which would hopefully lead into the patient trusting you and wanting to always come back to hospital to get treated /receive their medications. Furthermore, if that does not provide enough motivation in helping another individual/ patient with good care it also provides good motivation and sense of self. Respecting others is also important because you would want to treat people the way you would like to be treated.
