Project Execution Monitoring and Control Paper
The purpose of this portion of the Riordan Manufacturing project is to introduce the projects project execution, monitoring and control processes and methods. The paper will identify the steps required to assemble, develop, and manage the project team. An explanation of how the project manager will manage the project execution. An explanation of the importance of project sponsorship and project leadership during project execution. The paper will identify the method used for measuring and reporting project progress and performance. The paper will conclude with rationale of the methods selected for Riordans’ progress and performance.
Riordan Manufacturing Recruitment Process
According to Gray and Larson, “the two important factors affecting recruitment are the importance of the project and, the management structure being used to complete the project” (p.380). The Riordan project is critical to the success and future of the organization. The project team must be high performing and excellent job responsibility knowledge. The project manager for Riordan also must look for team members who have problem solving capabilities, an open availability, credibility, etc. The Riordan project is expected to last at least five years. Availability will play a major role in the recruitment process. The project requires long hours and hard work. As the project manager, the ideal candidate will possess all qualities needed to ensure project and organizational success.
Riordan Manufacturing Project Execution
Project execution may require planning updates which may result in re-base lining (PMBOK, 2013). The process for updates and change with the Riordan project will be written and must be approved by the project manager, project sponsor, and senior management involved with the project.
