Definition of justice as related to law enforcement:
* Protecting those who are innocent from a vast array of wrong doings including physical and psychological, material and economic, no matter how serious, or not, of a matter the wrong doing may present itself as. Balancing the scale or tipping the scale to be heavier on the more fair side of life. Justice is blind, however has knowledge of what is right and what is not.

Identify three current practices of law enforcement that demonstrate the successful achievement of the definition:
* Discretion.
* Letter of the law, spirit of the law.
* “One of the most important aspects of policing is that officers exercise enormous discretion in handling these situations” (Walker, S. and Katz, C.M., p. 7, 2008).
