The contemporary world has many problems that desperately need to be solved, and one of the main problems that are affecting everybody’s life is human trafficking. Global warming is another problem that needs to be solved in the near future. Gas prices are a problem that has been really affecting America lately. In my experience in UNST 120 I have learned how these problems affect me and everybody around me.
When discussing human trafficking in class it makes me upset to know that the government is doing the bare minimum to halt or hinder it because all in all human trafficking affects me in so many different ways. As a working student I really appreciate the value of a dollar, and with human trafficking coming in America it plays a big role in the increase of the unemployment rate. A lot of hard working U.S. citizens are losing jobs to underpaid immigrants because of human trafficking and immigration. If not for all the foreign persons accepting jobs that are paying under the table I believe that the unemployment rate will decrease and minimum wage will increase thus improving our economy.
The debate over global warming will only be solved over time by personal experience. One thing UNST 120 taught me is that the current climate trends can be tied back to old trends and that global warming isn’t for sure. But the excessive gas pollution needs to be reduced any way. The gas pollution affects me in many ways. As an athlete the quality of the air is important to my health. And if global warming is really happening the excessive heat can harm my performance as an athlete. But before we try to do something about this problem we need to be sure its real instead of using much-needed funds that could be going to other problems that needs to be solved.
Last but definitely not least, is gas prices. It is ridiculous how much gas prices have rose in the past year. The steady rise in gas...
