The reason of the movie Romeo & Juliet is to show others how love works in mysterious ways. The movie starts off with the Capulets and the Montagues in a shootout. This version of Romeo & Juliet uses guns instead of swords, like the original movie. After the shootout the Capulets and Montagues got arrested. The movie showed how the shootout caused a lot of chaos and from what the chief of police said this wasn’t their first time disturbing the peace. The chief of police warned them that if anything like that happened again they would pay with their lives.
So after all of that, the attention was turned on the Montagues and they began talking about Romeo. So they found him and Romeo and he wouldn’t stop talking about love. Later on that night his best friend Mercutio came into the picture dressed as a drag queen. He was dressed like that so they could go to the Capulets costume party. After that scene the Montagues snuck into the Caplets party and while there Romeo saw Juliet.
Juliet father was in an elevator with Paris and they were discussing Juliet and Paris told her father how he wanted to marry Juliet and he father said she was too young. Juliet finally shows up when her mother started screaming all over the house looking for her. Her mother was telling her how she was going to marry Paris and she was going to meet him at the party.
The party finally started and Romeo went to the bathroom and he got distracted by the fish in the fish tank and Juliet sees him and he fell in love in love with her that same minute. She ran off and he followed her and started telling her how beautiful she was and she liked it. They were almost caught so Juliet pushed him in the elevator and they kissed.
Eventually Juliet was told to go upstairs and when she was still staring at Romeo the nurse told her how Romeo was a Montague and Romeo figured out that Juliet was a Capulet.  They didn’t care that their families didn’t like each other, Romeo & Juliet were in love. They...
