My name is Sanya Sharma and today I’m sharing with you a book by Anne E. Hill focusing on the biography of the Champion figure skater Sasha Cohen.

She grew up in Southern CA.
Ice cream is one of her favorite food
She won a gold medal at the 2006 US National Championships
But that’s not all.
1. Sasha’s real name is Alexandra Pauline Cohen.
2. She was born on October 26th 1984 in Westwood, CA
She lived with her parents,sister Natasha and 3 pets in Laguna Niguel, CA
Her home skating club is Orange County Figure Skating Club where she trained with the world famous coach John Nicks.
Her dress designer is John Longmire
Sasha was a great gymnast at an early age. Her friend’s mother suggested mother suggested for Sasha to try figure skating which she fell in love with at the age of 7. She quickly became a fierce competitor and by age 15, she was skating with the best in the world.
She first competed in 1996 where she was placed 4th
In 1997, she was placed 5th at the Junior Olympics.
Every year, she actively participated in competitions until 2001
At the 2002 winter Olympics in Salt Lake City Utah, she finished 4th place just missing a medal
She spent next 4 years working to improve
Her most recent participation was in 2006 winter Olympics where she was placed 2nd
Sasha did not compete at the 2001 Nationals as she cracked her back while stretching on the floor.
She also withdrew from 2005 ISU Grand Prix events due to a recurring back injury.
She also had a hip injury in 2006 where she fell on a triple Salchow (Jump) during her free skate and had to withdraw from Skate America
Due to a recent injury to her calf, Sasha was forced to withdraw from two competitions but looks forward for competing at the 2010 US National Championships and Winter Olympics
