Being a college student is a lot of people’s dream, and colleges as the highest educational level are very important for every college student. However, there are several questions always confuse many students, such as what does students study for in colleges or why does students should study some courses which doesn’t have a close relationship with their major? Professor John Ciardi wrote an essay about this situation in 50 years ago. He had a student came to his office and asked why a pharmacist had to study Hamlet, and he told the student that the both for training technical skill and education, especially liberal arts.
