There is no one perfect style or way to operate an organization. Each and every organization is different in the style and culture within it. Though these factors maybe different in terms of the way the organization operates there is one factor that all organization have in common, achieving the goal of the organization as a whole. Change is brought about whenever there is a need or if the is an opportunity for profit or growth. In organizations the first step toward growth is to maintain safety. Safety can be looked at on three different levels. The first level of safety deals with the hazards within the organization. The next level of safety deals with the proper training and support. At the third level of safety is the relationship between the administrative body and their subordinates.
This paper will address a developed plan on bringing about internal and external change within an organization. The type of organization that this change will be implemented in is a psychiatric facility. This psychiatric facility has 6 inpatient units and 3 residential units. This psychiatric facility treats children and adolescents that have a wide range of mental illnesses. The process will be explained in steps starting with making it known throughout the organization that change needs to be made. The next step will consist of establishing a team. In this third step this will discuss how the plan will be established. The rationale of the change and why it is needed will be stated in the introduction process. The implementation of the change will then be explained and the process of how the new organizational goals will be reinforced. The barriers that could possibly affect the change from becoming a success will be eliminated. The workers that participated in this change will be compensated for their participation in the change implementation.
