This movement is primary being done by the wooster group and is the use of technolgy as a character and main element of production. Theater as a whole is on the verge of a major tranformation where the focus is not on the production as a whole but on the spectacle of the production. The Wooster Group however has not been create without influcens from countless generations of theater development. Finally, the biggest question remains how much effect both good and bad will this new invasion of technology in theater effect furture theater art as we have known it to be.
Technology as an major elemental character in theater productions is a very new concept which is nowhere close to being understood. With this ever changing world that we live in the Wooster Group seems to be taking the most advantage of the situation. The are using real time video, voice altering, and video flashback inorder to adapt plays while alter the meaning and the audiences interpretations of these works. This group has been praised by many many as ground breaking and a wonder change to compentary theater. Even on their website they proclaim quote,
