The Technological Impact on Education and Learning: The Negatives of the Internet
 Technology has influenced everyday life in today’s society greatly since its introduction.  Most households in America has some sort of technological device that has connection to the internet: A desk top or laptop computer, mobile phone, a smart television, or a gaming console that has internet accessibility. The internet has become so commonly used that it has made its way into educational facilities all across the country. Technology has advanced so rapidly that education is trying its utmost to catch up to the advances made. For example, the introduction of the internet and its’ use, has led to many classrooms and teachers using it as another resource for learning. A resource with an abundant amount of information with visual demonstrations that can make learning for students’ fun and engaging. The internet also allows for more self-learning with the use of the unlimited information provided. Students believe that this can help with independent learning and overall future success.
Although there are positives in having technology in schools, there are also many negatives. Negatives that not only impact the schools but most importantly and foremost impact the students of that school. Financial reasons is an important obstacle in this implementation. Where should the money come from? Should the money be better off spent somewhere else? How will learning be affected during this immersion? In the midst of the advancement of internet technology, learning has taken a back seat because of the careless need by educational schools to catch up to technology. For instance, some teachers are being forced to implement the use of the internet in their classrooms, to conform to technology, rather than teaching youth from experience...
