The Big Race

When Jimmy awoke, he was depressed because he knew this weekend was the big town race. Jimmy wanted to enter it so badly, but he knew he was the slowest rabbit in town. All the other rabbits would pick on him because he would always come in last place when he raced.
Suddenly Jimmy heard an unexpected knock at his door. As he peeked out to see who was there, he was surprised to see old man Willis, the fastest rabbit in town he had won the big race many years in a row. He was by far the fastest rabbit to ever run the race. Old man Willis told Jimmy that he was slow, and that he knew how much he wanted to run in the race. He said he would help him win the race but he would have to promise to put forth the effort.
Jimmy was overwhelmed with happiness at the thought of winning the race.
Wills told him to get his running shoes and they would start immediately for there is a lot to do. Willis trained Jimmy harder than he had ever trained before. He even made him meditate so he would have a strong mind and not get psyched out by the other racers.
Every time Willis and Jimmy met, Willis would make Jimmy do something new and Jimmy would feel faster and stronger. People where amazed his new speed.
The day of the race, Jimmy was rumored to come in second. His only competition would be Bugs the meanest fastest, biggest rabbit in town. At one time Bugs was Willis best student. But Willis caught him cheating and he kicked him out of his school.
Before the race Bugs feared that he would lose to Jimmy, so he dug holes in each of the racers lane including Jimmy’s and covered up the holes, making it look like nothing was there.
When the gun went off, and the racers where took off. Jimmy and Bugs where neck and neck. When Jimmy and Bugs neared the trap Willis noticed that bugs had a devilish grin. He new that bugs had cheated again. Willis noticed there was something wrong with the track ahead of Jimmy and Willis...
