The book of Daniel identifies the Prophet Daniel as the author. The book was written to the Israelites. During the Babylonian Exile in the sixth century BCE however the book was written in the third person. Daniel 9 4:6 Daniel Prayer I prayed to the Lord my God and confessed: “O Lord .the great and awesome God, who keep his covenant of love with all who love him and obey his commands.5 We have sinned and done wrong, we have been wicked and have rebelled we have turned away from your commands and laws. 6 we have not listened to your servants the prophets, who spoke in your name to our kings, and princes and our fathers, and to all the people of the land.



The book of Hosea was written by Prophet Hosea; Hosea personal account of his prophetic message to the children of God and to the world. Hosea is the only prophet of Israel who left any written prophecies which was recorded during the last years of his life. Hosea wrote this book to remind the Israelites-and us that ours is loving God who loyalty to his covenant people is unwavering. Hosea 1 2:4 Hosea’s Wife and Children 2 When the Lord began to speak through Hosea, the Lord said to him, ”Go, take to yourself and adulterous wife and children of unfaithfulness, because the land is guilty of the vilest adultery in departing from the Lord.” 3 So he married Gomer daughter of Diblaim, and she conceived and bore him a son. 4 Then the Lord said to Hosea, “Call him Jezreel because I will soon punish the house of Jehu for the massacre at Jezeel,and I will put an end to the kingdom of Israel.


Joel The only information that is known about Joel is that his father was name Pethuel so Joel was written by a Prophet (Joel 1:1) we do not know who Pethuel is either. There are dozen person named Joel in the Old Testament, and none seems to be the one who is responsible for this book.
