The media has a negative influence on women. Television, movies, celebrities, and music videos are some of the many ways women are influenced. By creating an ideal image appealing to women, it is posssible for the media to have power over women. This is a part of everyday life for women. The media influences people to look good no matter what. Women allow themselves to follow certain trends, even if it mean hurting themselves physically and emotionally. Being able to follow trends gives them a sense of self- satisfaction. The media, fashion designers, and enterntainment industries created an image that everyone doesn’t have. It is being extremely skinny. You only see these images portrayed by the skinniest and most prettiest of models. This is considered the “ideal beauty”. Whether it is being extremely thing, using violence, occupying sexuality, or wearing revealing clothing, this all has a negative influence over women. These trends may end up being a style of life for some women.
