Have you ever notice that Trayvon Martin and Emmet Till had similar but also differences of their murders? No one would suspect both murders to be almost the same. When looking deep at Emmet Till and Trayvon Martin’s murders, the reader will realized they share similar accusation for each reason for the murders. Readers will learn when were they were murdered, where were they when they were murdered and why their age mattered at the time, both murders of Emmet Till and Trayvon Martin made people take a better look at racism.

Emmet Till’s location of where he was from wasn’t the south. He was really from Chicago, which was in the north. Trayvon Martin’s location where he was at convenience store, he was completely unarmed when he was there. Emmet Till was exactly at a convenience store when he whistled at Carolyn Bryant or at least accused of whistling at her. Emmet Till was taken from his uncle’s home right before he died. Trayvon Martin was visiting his father’s fiancée home before he died.

Emmet Till was only 14 years old when he was murdered. Trayvon Martin on the other hand was only 16 when he was murder. Most of the lynching that happen to the blacks weren’t 14 before Emmet Till was murdered. Trayvon Martin was victim to racial profiling, which usually happen to grown black men and women. Until those two young men were murdered, nobody knew that adult black men and women were suffering though racial profiling and racism even though there were people that were trying to put an end it.

During the time that Emmet Till was murdered, the civil rights movement was taking place. During the 1950’s there was a lot of lynching in the south than there was in the north. Trayvon Martin was murdered during our time, we already had problems of our own before and after Trayvon martin’ death.
