1.0 Abstract

Vodafone Group plc is the world’s leading mobile telecommunications company. It is based in the United Kingdom but has expanded to many countries throughout Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific and the North America. Their mission is to be the communications leader in the current world that is getting increasingly smaller and more easily connected.
A Multinational Corporation (MNC) Vodafone is seeking the opportunity to expand its cross-border business in Russia and Saudi Arabia. This report is intended to evaluate which of the two countries will be more profitable and appropriate as a result from the expansion. In addition, this report will also illustrate the broad objective and strategy of Vodafone expansion and providing a clear analysis of the business environment factors of the two selected countries.
2.0 Introduction

Vodafone’s mission is to be the communications leader in the current world that is getting increasingly smaller and more easily connected. Vodafone has four strategic objectives. The first being to stimulate revenue and reduce costs. To stimulate costs their goal is to offer larger minute bundles, innovative tariffs, prepaid, and contract promotions. Vodafone wants to find innovative ways to deliver all the communications needs of their customers such as calling, SMS and Broadband. Lastly, it is part of their objective to align their capital structures and shareholders return policy to their general strategy.
