VPT Task # 2
Western Governor’s University
A. SUMMARY OF SITUATION:
The real-world business situation to be answered is whether or not there is an increase in number of surgical cases over time. Does the total number of surgical cases per month increase over the course of the year? Data points in the test include monthly surgical cases scheduled from January 2014 to April 2016. Obtaining and analyzing the data will assist in validating or nullifying assumptions regarding the increase in demand. The outcomes from the test are based quantified and validated data. It is an important tool that management can use in making sound decisions such as revamping its staffing model and structure.
