The survey was distributed via email and delivery to Amazon customers who had made recent purchases. The surveys were returned through email submission, U.S. Mail, or collected from the online survey process. A time period for collection was utilized and not all surveys distributed were returned during the time period; the total sample size is 49.
Once our survey was filled out by the consumers, we prepared the data to be analyzed. We had to assign a numerical value for each answer. So, each alphabetical value was changed to a number, for example, a is the value of 1, b is the value of 2, c is the value of 3 and d is the value of 4. Once the answers have the numerical value it will be easier to statistically analyze each question with the corresponding answers. Each question will be tabulated to see how it scored and then be inserted into a table to show Amazons’ shipping service, costs, frequency of purchase, consumers’ age and income.
