In the past few years, people are getting richer compare to who they were thirty years ago, better educated too. For sure, they always want their children to be educated well and be fully-prepared for future lives. Thus more people are sending their children overseas to places like the UK or the USA. Here I will be talking about the advantages and disadvantages of sending a child to study overseas.
One of the reasons why parents send their children overseas to study is that, other countries have better education systems, which can be used as an advantage. With better education, children can grow up with better knowledge, which will lead to better future for them.
Another advantage for children to study overseas is that, they can become more experienced to lives. As they are studying or about to study in a place where it is not their hometown, everything will be new. They have to, in a way, start a new life in a strange place. Find a new home, maybe try to learn and use a new language, make new friends or even try to get used to the local's living habits. It will need a lot of effort and courage in order to complete all these. During this progress, strong character can be built in them.
However, everything comes with positives and negatives, same applies to this case. Because they are foreigners, especially for those who have different mother tongue, communication becomes a big problem. Without much communication, making a big group of friends and expressing your idea become almost impossible, which may lead to autism and melancholia. What will be built is not a strong character anymore but a weird and sensitive temper.
Another disadvantage of studying overseas is that, some children may have low discipline and are unable to control themselves to do what they are supposed to do. They do not study and just play for the whole day, eventually wasted or even ruined the...
