Heroes
The question of “who are [my] heroes?” helped me to think deeper about what I value in life the most. First, I know that rationality and the power of reasoning is the single prominent principal of my life. Then, I believe that what I value the most is individual liberty and having “will to power.” In fact, my heroes are those who are reasonable and strong in pursuing what they want; those who take the best advantage of individual liberty. Because I believe the single universal thing that can bring happiness to humans is freedom. Therefore, when I thought about whom my heroes are I concluded that people like Warren Buffet (the CEO of the Berkshire Hathaway and the richest man in the world), Bill Gates, and other powerful men who have taken the best advantage of our capitalist system to be on top are my heroes.
I see interdependency connections as a very dangers concept because it can open the doors for people who are dictators, nationalists, or those who abuse and control the masses. In fact, it is only in a free society, where people have absolute liberty that people are guaranteed to be happy. Otherwise people can be victims of those who hold power in interdependent communities, whom set the rules and control everyone else. And since interdependency take away individuality, then the concept of freedom becomes obsolete in that society. To be dependent means not to be free. People become slaves of their community because of their commitment to others. Although, a society that grants its members absolute freedom can also become dangerous, because some people might become unstoppable because of their power; however, if the society goes toward the wrong direction, people can take action in anyway they want, because they have the freedom to do so. They can make choices that would stop others from controlling them. Therefore, when I think about my exemplars for living, I always end up with people who appreciate individual liberty as the single prominent...
