It is a criminal offense if you drive with a Blood Alcohol Concentration in Excess of .08%. Drunk driving and alcohol related accidents are serious problems in today’s word causing more deaths in America than any other causes of death. Every year there is about 17,000 alcohol-related road deaths. Installing this product in cars will serve as a safety device to let the drivers know that they are driving with a sober mind and vision. This device could have an impact on the car industry and increase the safety features for the user. This device will be ready by 2008. Objectives: My goal is to provide a breathalyzer device to be installed in every manufactured car starting in 2008. Depending on state laws as of where the user resides, this system should decrease the death rates for drunk drivers. With this product, the Interlock switch device will be convenient and acceptable for all cars and drivers. This system will be a wireless transmission from the breathalyzer device to the remote switch with a transmission distance of up to 200 feet. This design is allowed for a safe quick and easy way to see if the user is sober and safe.
