A Gift from God
It was a depressing night full of gray shades of darkness and heavy rain. My girlfriend, Erin, and I were slumbering on her bed, when suddenly she thrusts my hands off her and sat up. “We need to talk; I have something important to say. She uttered. I got up and sat beside her with a questionable and concerned look. “I’m PREGNANT!” she slowly cried and plunged into my arms. Comforting her, I asked if she was positive. Wishing in my head and just hoping she wasn’t, she murmured “YES” with a distressed and petrified look. Being in deep shock, I was speechless. I had no idea that this was coming and I didn’t know what to think, say, or do. Erin’s phone rang; her parents were coming home, so I scrammed out of her house. I went home and rushed to my room, picked up my phone and called her to discuss the matter further. Not realizing what was going on, we talked for 2 hours about the situation, and we were both getting tired, so we called it a night.
The morning sun crept around the corner of the blistering night and before I knew it the day had passed by. After school, I went home, and then surprisingly forgot all about the situation. Later in the evening I called Erin to see what she was up to. She answered with a despaired voice; through her voice and that tone, the situation entered my mind once again. On Thanksgiving, I went to her house, since her parents were throwing a party. I snuck into her room upstairs and saw her. She hadn’t look any different from before but the looks on her face made me determine that she really was pregnant. So I cuddled with her for a while and then I was on my way. I said my goodbyes, gave my kisses and hugs, rubbed her tummy, and kissed it. I gazed into her eyes and told her “I love you and I’ll always be here for you no matter what, and things are going to be okay.” We talked about this situation more and more and concluding that our parents needed to know about this.
