E-business is an important business process for most of the organizations today. It allows companies to link their internal and external processes more efficiently and effectively, and work more closely with suppliers and partners to better satisfy the needs and expectations of their customers, leading to improvements in overall business performance.
E-Business is the term used to describe the information systems and applications that support and drive business processes, most often using web technologies. Technological development is the backbone to e-business, without advancement in technology it wouldn’t have been posssible.
E-business proves advantageous both for consumers and supplier (organization in business). The consumer doesn’t have to make much effort in searching for the suppliers of a product and comparing them at the same time by checking the supplier’s profiles. It saves consumers time and avails him to shop anytime ,anywhere through internet. For suppliers benefits of conducting business through the Internet includes a cheaper upfront cost to the merchant, it's easier to set up and it's faster to get an online business up, running and making sales.   Marketing through e-commerce is another benefit that include less costs than print advertising, help to build customer relationships, brand credibility and it costs less to get an e-commerce marketing campaign running and operational.
One of the greatest advantage that e-commerce brings to a business is global expansion. Due to the wide reach of the Internet, businesses are able to communicate globally and explore new markets, because of this global reach of e-commerce, businesses are now breaking down geographic limitations.
