Clean Barracks Room
The importance of having a clean barracks room is so it will be less likely for you to get sick and less sustainable for germs to survive. Also a clean barracks room will give the appearance of you being responsible and able to take care of yourself and not needing a baby sitter. When your room is squared away then you have less things to worry about like putting your clothes away at the last minute before your about to have an inspection.
The first reason why your barracks room should be clean and orderly is in case high ranking NCO or officers do a check at a moment’s notice and you don’t have to freak out about it and you can keep calm and show them. Also when your barrack room is clean and squared away your team leader, squad leader, platoon sergeant, platoon leader, will all be good with you and you won’t be on their bad side. An example of a clean barracks room would be all your clothes folded and put away or hung up. The floor swept and mopped daily. Also your electronics wiped down and dusted so that way everything is shiny and doesn’t look like shit.
The second reason why a clean barracks room is great is so germs and mold doesn’t grow and build up and cause illnesses and other things to happen. The most common place for mold growth is in your bathroom. Most bathrooms, particularly tile in and around showers and tubs is regularly wet. As a result, most bathrooms grow mold and require regular cleaning. A weak solution of water and common household bleach can be used to regularly clean these areas and keep them free of mold. Low noise bathroom fans are also recommended to remove excess moisture during periods when it is being generated by bathing or showering. The second most popular place for mold to grow is where the pipes have a leak. Even small water leaks will cause mold problems.
