HOMELESSNESS

Homelessness is a world wide issue and everyday is getting worse. It is not one thing, but many things and can happen to anyone.
People do want to help homeless people, because ever little action you do, can cause a change reaction. There are a lot of kids, parents and non parents out there that wish they didn't end up doing what they did to become this way.
36,000 young people in Australia are homeless every night; how ever its not just young people who are homeless; the average homeless female is 30 and homeless male is 33; homeless is not a choice; financial difficulties, domestic violence, eviction, child abuse and natural disasters.

Our prime minister Mr Rudd once said; no matter were homeless people go, they are treated like social outcast.

Everyday, you may see it and ignore it. Take a moment to think how much time you have. Have you ever thought that it could be your family; your friends or even you! . Imagine if it was you. Where would you go? What would you do?. Many people are homeless because of many reasons. Next time you sit down on a park bench remember that this could be someone's home. They need help. Your help!.

The church's teachings on this issues involves donating money to help homeless people out of the situation. For example, mission Australia, vinnies and other charitable groups are given donations on behalf on the parishioners , and with that the people are feed, clothed and giving medicine.

Many of the nation's homeless people suffer from unrecognized mental illnesses and do not have access to the kind of disability benefits they would be entitled to when properly assessed.
